Nir Asseraf, Attorney At Law

Nir Asseraf was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. He is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in History. Thereafter, Mr. Asseraf attended Southwestern Law School and received his Juris Doctor degree. While at Southwestern Law School, Mr. Asseraf was an intern at the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office, where he clerked at the Hardcore Gang Division and the Preliminary Hearing Unit. During law school, Mr. Asseraf received “Public Service” recognition for his work at the District Attorney’s Office, and he served as a member of the Student Body Association and the Jewish Law Students Association.

In 2012, Mr. Asseraf was an insurance defense attorney, where he represented the insurance and employer communities, with an emphasis on Workers’ Compensation litigation. He defended all aspects of Workers’ Compensations claims including litigation of questionable claims, General and special employment issues, claims and fraud investigation, 132a, and serious and willful. He practiced as a defense attorney for 10 years until he decided he wanted to advocate and empower the injured.

In his many years as a trial attorney, Mr. Asseraf is prepared to take the insurance companies head-on. He brings a sense of passion to the courtroom with litigation experience that involves trials, doctor cross-examinations, depositions, legal writing, and persuasive negotiations.

In 2022, Mr. Asseraf was selected by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star–a recognition that is given to only 2.5% of licensed attorneys in California for their professional achievements. He is an active member of the California Applicant Attorneys Association (CAAA). Mr. Asseraf is admitted to practice in California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

When Mr. Asseraf is not in court, he enjoys spending time with his wife (also a lawyer!), two kids, and his mini dachshund. He enjoys traveling through Europe and trips to Tel Aviv, Israel. He also enjoys seeking out new restaurants the City of Los Angeles has to offer. Mr. Asseraf’s home team is the Los Angeles Lakers.
